A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be stunningly easy in case you have a Linux shared hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your web hosting account. You will see all the mailboxes that you have set up shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly inform you if a specific mailbox receives all the messages for a certain domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you wish. If there is active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with several clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated server with us. The hosting account will be managed through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes using any domain name hosted here. To activate the catch-all option for a particular mailbox, you will have to click the sign with the same name, which will be next to each mailbox. Deactivating this feature can be done in the exact same manner and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a specific domain, you will get a warning notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never disable or edit any feature automatically.
