No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Shared Hosting
In case you host your sites in a shared hosting account with our firm, you do not need to worry about your data ever getting corrupted. We can ensure that as our cloud hosting platform works with the advanced ZFS file system. The latter is the only file system that uses checksums, or unique digital fingerprints, for each file. Any data that you upload will be stored in a RAID i.e. simultaneously on many different NVMes. All file systems synchronize the files between the different drives with this type of a setup, but there's no real guarantee that a file will not get corrupted. This could occur at the time of the writing process on any drive and afterwards a corrupted copy may be copied on the rest of the drives. What is different on our platform is that ZFS examines the checksums of all files on all of the drives in real time and in the event that a corrupted file is identified, it's substituted with a good copy with the correct checksum from another drive. In this way, your information will remain unharmed no matter what, even if a whole drive fails.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you purchase one of our semi-dedicated server packages, you will not have to be concerned about silent file corruption since we use ZFS - an advanced file system that monitors all of the files in real time. Every time you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synced between a couple of NVMe drives for redundancy, so if a drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all of the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This happens instantly, so there will be no danger for any part of your content at any time. In contrast, alternative file systems perform checks only after a system breakdown, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums which ZFS uses, they will not detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy can be replicated on the remaining drives as well and you may lose important information. Since this is not the case with ZFS, we warrant the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
