Multiple OS in VPS Servers
If you pick one of our VPS server solutions, you'll have as many as three different Operating Systems to select from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux releases and we offer them rather than offering just one OS, as the applications that you may wish to run on the server may have specific requirements for the software environment. Each of the three has certain advantages with regard to the available plans that you can later on install, but what's common between them is the fact that they're very secure and reliable and have huge communities which support them. The hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, so as to give you more flexibility. If you order the virtual server with one OS and you need another one later, our technical support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in just a few minutes. We also offer the option to keep the Operating System on your server up-to-date on a weekly basis.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are completely free and they will not increase the cost of your new web server, but also because they are exceptionally stable and secure. Each one of them is backed up by a big community of developers, so you will be able to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you may install on your server in case the application that you would like to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what web hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and because we would like to provide you with as much adaptability as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you choose a server with a given OS, we could change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you need another one. We can also keep the OS updated weekly as part of our additional Managed Services upgrade.
